Anti-Epileptic Drugs

Taking regular drugs does not always fit easily into everyone’s daily routine. People with epilepsy need to plan ahead so that they do not run out of drugs or find themselves away from home without their usual dose.

It helps to have the drugs packed in a dispenser for a week or a day at a time. Most people find it difficult at some point to remember if they have taken their drugs. A glance in the dispenser gives the necessary reassurance. When drugs is taken straight from the package there is no way of controlling if earlier doses have been taken as they should have been.

When someone with epilepsy needs to visit another doctor than the one who has prescribed the anti-epileptic drugs, the person needs to take a full list of the drugs (s)he takes. This is important so that the doctor will not prescribe drugs which can’t be combined with the anti-epileptic drugs.
