Lifestyle

The cause, type and frequency of seizures vary from person to person. The impact of the seizures will also depend on the lifestyle of each individual. For some people, epilepsy may have little effect on their lifestyle. For other people, even a few seizures may mean that risks have to be considered and changes have to be made. Here we give you more detailed information for all important lifestyle issues.

In case you still have doubts on how to deal with your epilepsy or with the epilepsy of somebody you know, feel free to approach us through mail to ask us your questions (karijn@youth-on-the-move.com). We love to take our time to inform you with the knowledge we have.

During our Movers Meeting every Saturdays we talk about lifestyle issues surrounding epilepsy. Every Saturday we discuss different topics touching on issues impacting our lives. The outcome of the meetings are written in articles in which we love to publish as well. We hope to share it with you soon!

If you want to participate in our Movers Meetings, then we welcome you to come to our Training Centre in Nairobi West Shopping Centre, close to Nyayo Stadium, Birongo Square, New Life Christian Church. My epilepsy

It is me

It has my mind

But not my life

I tame it

Calm the storm within me

It's now me

It leads me

But doesn't end me

I tame the storm

Make it me

Let it lead me

Inspire me

Teach me

Lead me

But not destroy me

It is me

It has my mind

But not my life
